I had an eye-opening conversation with my colleague Vic Martinez last night.
Over the past year, we’ve relied on each other several times as sounding boards for strategically overcoming professional hurdles. We’ve also shared feedback on each of our passion projects — design elements, musical compositions, podcast topics, marketing advice, & video critiques.
Vic’s one of my most trusted sounding boards, and a light bulb went off during a conversation we had last night about the cover art for a new musical project I’m releasing next week.
Stop me if this sounds familiar:
Everyone’s out to get you. You’re always the smartest one in the room, but the incompetence of your team & a collective lack of vision holds your ideas back. There simply isn’t enough time to do all the things you want to do. You’re too old to start something new. You’re too young to start something serious. Your boss isn’t giving you the resources you need. Someone beat you to the punch and is now reaping the rewards of one of your best ideas. No one takes you seriously.
If 80% of your Spanish vocab looks like a bathroom stall and an ingredient list had a baby, you’re probably going to understand where I’m coming from more clearly:
Restaurants are facing a giant problem.
WTF does elevant mean?
Well, it's Estonian for elephant, and has ties to a Latin verb for elevate. It's almost relevant, sort of elegant, and hopefully not soon forgotten.
When are new episodes released?
Regularly.
When are articles released?
Irregularly.
